Italy’s Ferretti Yachts has picked up two awards for its latest model, the Ferretti 450, in China and Slovenia.

First presented at the 2016 Cannes Yachting Festival in September, the Ferretti 450 has since made its debut in the US and Asia-Pacific regions and was recently named Best Motor Yacht below 55ft at the Asia Marine & Boating Awards in Shanghai. The event was held in April at the 22nd China International Boat Show.

A few days later in Europe, the Ferretti 450 also took top prize in the Best Motor Yacht from 41ft-50ft category at the Adriatic Boat of the Year Awards in Portoroz, Slovenia. The ceremony was held at the start of Internautica 2017.

“The Ferretti Yachts 450 is a very important model for us because it marks the return of Ferretti Yachts to the strategic 40ft-50ft market,” says Stefano de Vivo, chief commercial officer of the Ferretti Group. “It is popular with owners in our traditional markets, such as Europe and the Americas, and it has also been an instant hit in the Middle East and Asia.

“These two awards from two different continents underline the international nature of Ferretti Yachts and the value of a distinctive, innovative design philosophy,” he continues. “We are very pleased with the prize that we won in Shanghai because it comes from an extremely selective market that appreciates the most exclusive products that are made in Italy.

"We are also enormously satisfied with the award that we picked up at Internautica, because it is the top boat show on the Adriatic, where enthusiasts from a number of countries have always spent boating holidays on the waves with flybridge models by Ferretti Yachts.”

Ferretti Yachts is part of the Ferretti Group, whose other brands include Riva, Pershing, Itama, Mochi Craft, CRN and Custom Line.
Led by chairman Tan Xuguang and CEO Alberto Galassi, the Group builds flybridge, runabout, open, coupé, lobster boats, maxi and superyachts from facilities across Italy and is present in over 80 countries worldwide.
