The MRAA plans to collaborate with the Yacht Brokers Association of America on their respective certification programs

The Marine Retailers Association of the Americas (MRAA) says it plans to collaborate with the Yacht Brokers Association of America on their respective certification programs. The MRAA oversees the Marine Industry Certified Dealership Program and the YBAA has the Certified Professional Yacht Broker Program (CPYB).

According to the two associations, both certifications represent the highest levels of training their members can receive. The CPYB program is endorsed by sevent broker associations in North America.

Following the introduction of the MICD Program’s Continuous Certification curriculum, the CPYB announced that it will award continuing education credits to any Certified Yacht Broker that completes a quarterly MICD Continuous Certification course. The CPYB Program will also award credits to MRAA members that are CPYBs. Yacht brokers that have achieved Dealer Certification are eligible for member pricing on the CPYB exam.

“Dealer Certification and the CPYB Program share the goal of raising the professionalism and sophistication of our industry’s front lines,” said Matt Gruhn, MRAA president, in a statement. “We see this collaboration as a great way to strengthen the marine industry’s sales and customer service efforts in delivering the boating lifestyle to today’s boaters.”
