23m cruising cat named Sailing Yacht of the Year by Robb Report China

Last Saturday, the Seventy7, flagship of the Lagoon fleet of cruising catamarans, was named Sailing Yacht of the Year at the 2017 Best of Best Awards in China.

This annual event was organised by Robb Report China. The winners honoured at the Best of the Best Awards are the finest new business jets, yachts, automobiles, properties, jewellery, watches and more, carefully selected by Robb Report’s editors, industry experts, and contributors.

According to Beneteau Asia Pacific: “This recognition from Robb Report China points to the elegant world of yachting that the Seventy7 represents, a yacht in which conviviality, spacious living, and freedom of movement are major aspects. At 23m, the gentle giant was created by a design team from VPLP, Patrick Le Quément, and Nauta Design.”

This is the third time in a year that the Seventy7 has won acclaim from industry experts. She was named Best Sailing Yacht (above 65ft) at the 13th Asia Boating Awards Ceremony in April during the Singapore Yacht Show. Shortly after this recognition, the Yacht was awarded the 2017 Adriatic Boat of the Year award as part of Internautica International Boat Show in Slovenia.

The Seventy7 arrived in Asia this May when she was handed over to her owner in the Philippines by Lagoon’s regional distributor, Europa Yachts. According to Beneteau Asia Pacific, next year another Seventy 7 will be delivered to Qingdao, China, with others sailing Asian waters in the future.
