Swiss yacht-builder appoints Yacht Sales International as its exclusive US dealer

Switzerland-based Adler Yacht, a new yacht-building company that has links to the automotive, aviation and marine sectors, has chosen Yacht Sales International (YSI) to serve as its exclusive dealer in the North America.

Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, YSI offers a variety of services, including yacht sales, surveys, transportation and more.

“When we met Wendy Meade and Udo Willersinn from Yacht Sales International in 2017, we immediately had a common understanding for yachting, and what nowadays yacht owners want and need,” Adler CEO Philipp Pototschnik explains.

“For us it was clear from the start, that even though the market in the US is very strong, Adler is making a difference for US clients. According to the usage behavior and the luxury and design US customers are expecting, we knew that we could fulfill a demand which was still not satisfied.”

Adler's first model, the 23m Adler Suprema Hybrid, made its official US debut at the 2017 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in November. It is said to be the first full-carbon motoryacht in its category and is equipped with hybrid propulsion.

Nuvolari-Lenard, the Venice-based superyacht design studio, provided both interior and exterior design. Outside Suprema has a sophisticated modern look and boasts one of the largest flybridges for boats of her size.

“Partnering with Adler was a natural fit for us,” says Wendy Meade and Udo Willersinn, YSI co-owners. “We followed the build of the Adler Suprema in industry magazines and sought them out at the 2017 Cannes Yachting Festival. We believe the future of yachting lies in the combination of the hybrid propulsion system and the efficiency of the hull with speeds up to 30kt.”

Adler says it provides not only an extremely efficient, explorer style hull design, but offers a range of 3,500Nm where the competition stops at around 500 or less.

The Adler Suprema was assembled at Cantiere Alto Adriatico in Monfalcone, near Trieste, Italy.
