Australian superyacht owner develops new visitor venue on private island

Superyachts visiting the South Pacific have a new venue to visit in the Fiji Islands which is designed to be superyacht-friendly.

A key reason for that is that the private Kokomo Island in the Great Astrolabe Reef offers a natural marine environment owned by Lang Walker, the Australian property billionaire and watersports enthusiast who has had a number superyachts and sailing yachts named Kokomo.

Located in the Kadavu Group of Islands in Fiji, Kokomo Private Island is encircled by pristine reefs, white sand beaches and is the South Pacific’s newest superyacht charter destination.

Kokomo invites superyachts of up to 60m (197ft), the largest that can fit through the reef, with packages to suit guests that want to stay in the island’s accommodation or wish to stay aboard their yacht, while enjoying the many facilities, activities and services.
