The first unit in CCN's Ice Yachts range is on schedule for delivery in 2018

CCN Yachts, in cooperation with Turkish shipyard AES Yacht, has announced that construction of M/Y Day’s is proceeding to plan and on schedule at the AES shipyard in Turkey. The full-custom 68m superyacht from Construction & Concession Nexus (CCN) Yachts is the first vessel in the company’s new Ice Yachts range.

As of July 2017, CCN says that insulation pins and studs have been completed; steel and aluminium construction has been completed; grid blasting and primer painting is proceeding as planned; outfitting of all hot works has been completed; all tank connection lines are complete and 30% of the plumbing has been completed; and all equipment has been ordered.

CCN is working together with Italian studio Hot Lab on the interior and exterior design, creating a brand-new project for a private client. Turkish company Endaze Marine Engineering is responsible for the vessel’s naval architecture.

When completed, M/Y Day’s will accommodate 12 guests including owners. The owner’s area occupies the entire upper deck and is characterised by a spacious cabin forward. The guest area is on the main deck with three big VIP cabins, one guest cabin with single beds and an additional supernumerary cabin. Generous crew accommodation is also provided for up to 18 crew members on the lower deck, plus the captain’s cabin on the bridge deck.

CCN says the internal volumes on the five-deck yacht are impressive, at more than 1,800 GRT. “These volumes are one of the biggest strengths of the M/Y Day’s,” says Hot Lab’s Antonio Romano. “Interior headroom on the main and upper decks reaches 2.7m. Full height windows emphasise spaces and create a direct rapport to the exterior environment.”

M/Y Day’s estimated delivery date is for the end of 2018.
